New York, NY – May 4, 2007.  Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation today announced that Joel Oblonsky has been appointed President of Footwear for Lauren and Chaps.  Mr. Oblonsky will report to Jacki Nemerov, Executive Vice President of Wholesale Brands, Licensing and Manufacturing.

In this role, Mr. Oblonsky will oversee all key aspects of the Lauren and Chaps footwear business including sales, merchandising and planning.  He will work closely with the design, development, production and finance areas.  Mr. Oblonsky will be based in Polo Ralph Lauren's corporate office in New York City.

Mr. Oblonsky has over 20 years of experience in the footwear industry.  He most recently held the position of President of Nina Footwear Corp and prior to that was President of the Easy Spirit and Bandolino divisions of the Nine West Group.
