Club Monaco to Open New Flagship Location on Fifth Avenue at 55th Street
NEW YORK, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Club Monaco will open its newest US flagship at 699 Fifth Avenue at 55th Street on Saturday, October 14, 2000. The two-level, 12,000 square foot location will offer fashion for women, women's shoes and Club Monaco Cosmetics on the first floor and men's wear on the second. The third and fourth floors of the 699 Fifth Avenue building will be occupied by Club Monaco offices.

The new location, designed by internationally renowned, New York-based architect Deborah Berke, is housed in a landmark Fifth Avenue building. The store's facade features twenty feet high front windows, which allow an expansive view into the main and second floors. Clean and modern in design, the store is unique in its use of light and space. Sophisticated yet welcoming, all Club Monaco stores have architectural elements that juxtapose warm materials with cool ones, smoothness with texture. The Club Monaco concept celebrates the historical uniqueness of the landmark buildings they often occupy while creating an interior that personifies Club's clean, crisp design.

The Fall Club Monaco advertising campaign was shot by Richard Avedon, and art directed by Ruth Ansel. Avedon cast the shoot like a theatrical play, creating the Club People, unique, stylish individuals making a connection. The photography is a portfolio of powerful black and white images.
